Integrative medicine
uses conventional medicine in combination with a variety of approaches like mind-body medicine, botanical therapy, nutritional supplementation, acupuncture, and more.
It is healing that examines the whole person, including the body, mind, and spirit.
Patients and doctors work together as partners.
We apply the least invasive and most natural treatments as appropriate. This means that we heavily focus on factors like nutrition, sleep, and daily activities. It also means that if a prescription or over-the-counter medication is appropriate for your condition and in line with your treatment goals, we use it!
For more information, the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine provides an excellent description, found here.
